MC Jin Leads Family Style Records, PMG’s New Hip-Hop Label

Pacific Music Group has launched Family Style Records, a new hip-hop label led by MC Jin, with Lil Cherry, GOLDBUUDA, NADA, and KHANTRAST joining its first roster.

Pacific Music Group has launched Family Style Records, a new hip-hop imprint led by MC Jin as president.

The label opens with an international roster that includes Korean sibling duo Lil Cherry and GOLDBUUDA, Indonesian rapper NADA, and Brooklyn-raised Chinese-American rapper KHANTRAST, who joins for exclusive Asia management. LiFTED reports that Family Style Records is PMG’s hip-hop imprint, with MC Jin leading the label as part of Pacific Music Group’s wider global music strategy.

The launch also arrives during AAPI Heritage Month and alongside MC Jin’s new single “Humble Flex.”

MC Jin’s New Role at Family Style Records

MC Jin described the label through the idea of artists gathering around the same table, connecting the phrase “Everybody Eats” to the collaborative spirit of hip-hop.

“The idea of everyone coming together for a meal really captures the spirit of what Hip-Hop means to me,” Jin said in a statement. “With the launch of the label, our goal is to provide artists an opportunity to continue cooking up authentic flavors for the world audience. Family Style. Everybody eats!”

The label’s first roster reflects that international approach, bringing together artists connected to Korea, Indonesia, Brooklyn, and the wider Asian diaspora.

Lil Cherry and GOLDBUUDA

For Korean hip-hop listeners, Lil Cherry and GOLDBUUDA are the key names on the first Family Style Records roster.

The sibling duo have built one of Korean rap’s most distinct lanes, moving between Seoul, Miami, trap, club music, alternative rap, and experimental production. Their catalog includes projects such as SAUCE TALK, CHEF TALK, and SPACE TALK, with Apple Music listing CHEF TALK as a 2020 collaborative album by Lil Cherry and GOLDBUUDA.

Their 2022 album SPACE TALK continued the duo’s “TALK” series and featured collaborations with artists including Rico Nasty, Jvcki Wai, and Mudd the student, according to The Hype Magazine.

Lil Cherry said the duo will continue “reppin’ Korea and Miami” as they enter this new chapter, while GOLDBUUDA described MC Jin as a high school hero whose BET Freestyle Friday run helped shape his early sense of Asian pride in hip-hop.

NADA

Family Style Records also introduces NADA, an Indonesian rapper, singer, and dancer. Her official YouTube channel describes her as Nada Askana, a rapper bringing “fresh bars and fire beats” to the game.

NADA joins the roster as one of the label’s youngest voices, adding an Indonesian presence to Family Style Records’ broader Asian hip-hop focus. LiFTED described her as a 13-year-old Indonesian rap prodigy on the label’s first roster.

In her statement, NADA said joining the Family Style roster at PMG marks a new level in her career and called the opportunity to work under MC Jin’s guidance “such an honor.”

KHANTRAST

Rounding out the first roster is KHANTRAST, a Brooklyn-raised Chinese-American rapper who joins Family Style Records for exclusive Asia management.

KHANTRAST has built a large online following through sharp delivery, anime-inspired freestyles, and a sound rooted in New York drill. Apple Music lists “Landed In Brooklyn” and “ADD” among his top songs, while his official YouTube channel features the “Landed In Brooklyn” music video among his most visible releases.

In his statement, KHANTRAST said his goal has been to push creative boundaries while making art that feels authentic, adding that Family Style Records under MC Jin shares that vision.

Family Style Records Begins Its First Chapter

With Family Style Records, Pacific Music Group is positioning MC Jin at the center of a new hip-hop imprint built around Asian artists and global audiences.

The first roster gives the label a wide starting point: Lil Cherry and GOLDBUUDA’s genre-blurring Korean hip-hop catalog, NADA’s emerging Indonesian rap presence, and KHANTRAST’s Brooklyn drill and online momentum.

For MC Jin, the launch brings his legacy full circle — from one of Asian-American hip-hop’s most visible early breakthroughs to helping shape a new platform for the next generation.
