Marv has released his new single “Star*,” featuring BIG Naughty.
The track continues Marv’s post-Show Me the Money 12 momentum, following his appearance on Team ZICO X Crush’s “TICK TOCK” alongside HAON, Nosun, Raf Sandou, Jung Junhyuk, and ZICO. Compared to the high-energy competition setting that introduced him to a wider audience, “Star*” feels more intimate, leaning into melody, atmosphere, and reflection.
Built around the image of looking up at the night sky, “Star*” finds Marv chasing something distant but deeply personal. In the lyrics, he sings about wanting to become one of those lights, while BIG Naughty’s verse expands the idea of being a “star” into something more grounded: the pressure of attention, the people who make the spotlight meaningful, and the work of continuing to create even when the shine is uncertain.
The single also comes with an official visualizer animated by Park Eungyeol, with art by Lee Juho. “Star*” was composed by Xrface, Marv, BIG Naughty, and shinjihang, with lyrics by Marv, BIG Naughty, and shinjihang. The track was edited by Xrface and shinjihang, with guitar by shinjihang and NASVN. Mixing was handled by Stay Tuned at Stay Tuned Studio, with mastering by Kwon Namwoo at 821 Sound Mastering.
With “Star*,” Marv shows a softer but confident side of his artistry — one less focused on proving himself in the moment, and more focused on defining what his own light can look like.
“Star*” featuring BIG Naughty is out now.
