VVS Drops Debut EP “D.I.M.M”

| ,

Emerging girl group VVS has officially entered the scene with their debut EP [D.I.M.M.] (Diamonds In My Mouth), released May 19 at 6 PM KST. The eight-track project announces the group’s arrival with unapologetic confidence, drawing from Hip-Hop and R&B to craft a sound that’s both contemporary and reverent of its roots.

VVS set the tone early with a striking rollout, beginning April 7 with a cinematic debut trailer and ten-part teaser series. Directed with action choreography by John Wick: Chapter 4’s Koji Kawamoto, the visuals introduced each member through stylized origin stories that sparked anticipation across social media.

Their official debut followed on April 22 with “TEA,” a bass-heavy title track that paired explosive visuals with attitude-laced delivery. The MV quickly surpassed 1.8 million views, with follow-up track “FACT$expanding their reach. A TikTok Showcase and widespread media attention—over 200 outlets covered the debut—highlighted the group’s growing global traction.

On May 9, VVS dropped “PURRFECT,” a rapid-fire Hip-Hop track inspired by Street Fighter, co-written by Billboard-charting artist Lay Bankz. The track’s playful aggression and stylish choreography, led by Ingyoo Kim and Hee Soo Song (We Dem Boyz), captured over 600,000 views within days.

The centerpiece of [D.I.M.M.] is its self-titled title track—a multilingual anthem of ambition and homage. Anchored by thunderous 808s and chopped vocal textures, the song pays tribute to the Houston “Chopped & Screwed” era of the late ’90s and early 2000s. It’s both a mission statement and a historical nod, positioning VVS as students of the genre with something fresh to contribute.

Top-tier choreography further elevates the release, with Vata (We Dem Boyz) and Simeez contributing to [D.I.M.M.]’s hard-hitting performance routines.

With this debut, VVS doesn’t just enter the industry—they demand attention. [D.I.M.M.] is a carefully executed project that balances aesthetics, technical skill, and cultural awareness—solidifying VVS as one of 2025’s most promising new acts.

[D.I.M.M.] (Diamonds In My Mouth) is available now on all major streaming platforms.
