BIG Naughty has released his new single “Still Freestylin’” alongside an official music video.
The track brings him back to the same beat used on “Freestylin’,” his 2024 collaboration with Kid Milli from their joint EP [+]. The original version placed the two rappers in a loose, confident exchange. “Still Freestylin’” uses that familiar sound in a different setting, with BIG Naughty rapping alone and turning the track into a more direct solo statement.
The lyrics move between self-defense, reflection, and renewed confidence. BIG Naughty references criticism from listeners, disappointment from people around him, and the feeling of having to start again from zero. He also frames “freestylin’” as something broader than rap technique. In the song, it becomes a way of describing how he is moving through this period of his life, making decisions in real time and living with the consequences.
The timing of the release is notable because it follows BIG Naughty’s recent public dispute with Swings. In April, BIG Naughty released the diss track “INDUSTRY KNOWS,” which included allegations involving neighboring rights and an alleged physical altercation. Swings publicly denied the claims during a live broadcast. Giriboy later commented on the neighboring-rights issue, saying he had opposed the sale at the time before eventually accepting it as an unavoidable situation.
That context gives “Still Freestylin’” a sharper frame, even though the song does not retell the dispute directly. Lines about losing, being “officially back,” and building again from zero make the single feel closely tied to his current public position. Rather than offering a clean apology or a full explanation, BIG Naughty leans into contradiction: confidence beside regret, defiance beside self-awareness, and humor beside frustration.
The music video keeps the focus on that performance. Without relying on a heavy concept, the visual leaves room for the track itself to carry the message. BIG Naughty appears less interested in closing the conversation than in showing that he is still willing to rap through it.
“Still Freestylin’” is out now on streaming platforms. H1GHR MUSIC announced the single and official music video for May 10 at 6 PM KST.
