META. Releases First Solo Single “Mojo”

| ,

On May 31, Garion’s META. has released his first solo single, “Mojo”. The single is a preview track from his upcoming first solo album, due out later this year, and was produced by Korean techno’s first generation, Transistorhead.

According to META.’s management, the track is about his desire to return to his roots in order to regain his identity as an artist, which he has lost in recent years due to his features and broadcasting activities and educational endeavors.

Meanwhile, the collaboration between META. and Transistorhead is a reunion of first-generation indie musicians who both headlined Club Masterplan’s hip-hop and techno nights in the late ’90s and went on to release classic albums in their respective genres. Production was handled by Yoon Byung-joo, now of Lowdown 30, who played with them in the contemporary rock band Noizegarden. Other producers on META.’s first solo album include Lionclad and Fisherman Project/Inalchi’s Jang Young-gyu.
