Indie artist Kim Hanse releases first mini album ‘the day goes dark’

| ,

Independent rapper and producer Kim Hanse has released his first mini album today. ‘the day goes dark‘ contains three self-produced hiphop/R&B tracks.

Kim Hanse is a member of Ansan-based crew half full. He released three singles last year, most recently ‘TURN‘, which he all produced himself. The same goes for the three tracks on his first mini album.

As the title implies, the sounds on the album intensify from song to song, just like the setting sun intensifies the darkness. The first track stands for the afternoon, the title track for the evening, and the third track, ‘음악이 쉬워’ (lit.: music is easy), represents the early dawn. From poppy hiphop over future R&B to trap, Hanse pulls of both rapping and singing with his clear voice.

You can only find and preview the mini album on Korean music portals. For more of Kim Hanse’s music, check out his SoundCloud channel and half full’s YouTube channel!

“After you left me
my lifestyle changed completely
My days that were filled with you
are now made up by time for myself
Oh damn, maybe that’s why
[making] music is really easy to me”
-음악이 쉬워
