Giriboy drops fifth full-length album, “Science Fiction Music”

Giriboy has released his fifth full-length album, ‘Science Fiction Music (공상과학음악)‘, today. The LP features The Quiett, BewhY, JUSTHIS, Swings, and more.

Less than a year since his previous LP, ‘Graduation‘, Just Music‘s Giriboy returns with his fifth full-length album. He hopes that his fans will be able to escape harsh reality into a world of fantasy when they listen to the LP.

Via dingo freestyle’s YouTube channel, Giriboy gave a preview of the tracks and explained some of the background stories yesterday: Since he likes science fiction movies, he wanted to write about how we are all stuck in a digital world.

Among the eight new tracks, there is the first title track, ‘Keyboard’, with very creative lyrics, the sexy (?) ‘Kiss’, and ‘Hook Song’, which in fact has a very long hook. And according to Giriboy, when he asked The Quiett whether he could finish his verse for the second title track, ‘Skyblue’, quickly, he sent it over 20 minutes later.
Giriboy’s favorite track of the album is ‘vr’, and he actually finished it within one day, including the featurings by JUSTHIS and Swings (“People never listen to the songs at the end but since JUSTHIS features on this one they’ll listen to it.”). The track was produced by Coa White, who not only worked with Giriboy on his previous LP, but also with Kid Milli, Kim Seungmin, and Young B.

Giriboy says that he wanted to do cool tracks, but due to his fans’ requests he made nerdy, dorky songs instead. Enjoy Giriboy’s ‘Science Fiction Music’!
