American rapper Atwaters, who is currently living in Seoul, has dropped the new music video for his single ‘RIP’ on April 8.
Hailing from Gainesville, Florida, Atwaters moved to Daejeon in 2014. There, the artist hosted the Massive Mic Fest which merged Korean and foreign artists on one stage. In 2016, he opened for Bill Stax (at the time Vasco) at Club Volt in Daegu. He is currently residing in Seoul.
About a year ago Atwaters released the track ‘Fill Me In‘ which featured Yeon and was both in English and Korean. His music video ‘These 3 Words‘ was shown on MTVU. Besides Korea, Atwaters has performed in Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Japan. He even auditioned for SMTM6.
Back from a sold out performance in Philippines, Atwaters releases his new single titled ‘RIP‘. He impressively switches his flow throughout the JBeats production. The hook is very captivating. However, Atwaters makes sure to keep lyricism at the forefront. With speed, he displays a high level of impactful wordplay and metaphors that strikes through the dark 808 production. Shocking is an understatement after the first listen. The video was directed by Starfield Film in Hongdae, South Korea. Atwaters continues to put out quality material in Korea and performs throughout Asia. Look forward to seeing what’s next!
