Yearly diss battle: Yonsei University vs. Korea University
Yonsei University’s black music club RYU and Korea University’s black music club TERRA once again faced each other in their annual diss battle.
Every year, Yonsei and Korea University hold a sports competition. Extending this tradition, the universities added a dance battle and a diss battle that took place prior to the sports competition on September 22 and 23. This year was already the diss battle’s fourth season.
Yonsei University vs. Korea University: teams
For Yonsei University, the following members of their black music club RYU participated: Moover, 2ichiban, San Dollar, and Camel Jack. Their track ‘¥‘ was produced by Cool Cat, who has produced songs for San E and is part of the duo Lil Cats with Lil Wu. Jay Co Bees’ PANDA Gomm mixed the track.
For Korea University, three members of the black music club TERRA participated: feelDa, WOOZOO, and Cold Bay. Their track ‘KILLITKOMORI‘ was produced by EhSKei. The title is a portmanteau, a combination of the phrase “kill it” and the Japanese word “hikikomori.” The three rappers claim that even though they all have hikikomori tendencies, they will still “kill” the Yonsei team with their diss track.
Video production crew Wonderwood collaborated with the two teams to create a music video for each track. The video for Yonsei’s ‘¥’ counts a bit over 400,000 views while ‘KILLITKOMORI’ has more than one million views after only two weeks.
Watch the two videos and let us know who your personal winner is!
