What's This?

On August 28, Just Music CEO and SHOW ME THE MONEY 3 producer Swings announced his departure from Brand New Music.

“One must live the way one thinks or end up thinking the way one has lived.” – Paul Valery

Hello, this is Moon Swings. I would like to make a sad but exciting announcement that may surprise you.

Despite the rough three years, I am still chasing my dream fearlessly. Through the many failures and my constant dependency towards my family at Brand New Music, I looked at myself in the mirror and made this decision [to leave Brand New] with the help of Rhymer hyung and co.

An ambitious individual does not simply live their life yelling “I’ll do it. I’ll do it. I’ll do it” on repeat! I learned so much through Brand New, including the realization that the journey is still long ahead. Please continue to support Brand New, and welcome me to the big league. Thank you so much.

[The FactㅣOh Saehoon Reporter] Rapper Swings’ contract with Brand New Music has been terminated.

On August 29, Brand New Music made an official statement that, “Although the contract between Swings and Brand New Music will end on August 31, we have ended in good terms.”

Swings, who will officially leave the company after August, will go fully independent with his current independent label Justmusic with Vasco, Nochang, Giriboy, CJAMM, and Black Nut.

During his time with Brand New Music, Swings released several hit tracks including “듣고 있어? (Are You Listening?)”, “줄래” (Would You), “A Real Lady”, “Bulldozer” and “A Real Man”.
