YunB who recently joined Hi-Lite Records has released his official debut single ‘Runaway, Pt. 1 (Feat. Paloalto)’ along with the track’s music video.
‘Runaway’ is a project YunB planned as he decided to leave New York and return to Korea. Its aim is to express the liberation of negative energies through music and videos, sending the message that one has to overcome the difficulties life puts one through and adjust to them.
In New York, YunB produced music for advertisements, worked as concert planner, as music director for fashion shows, and more. In 2014 he shared his work with Paloalto, thus the two ended up working on ‘Runaway, Pt. 1’ together. The ‘Runaway’ project is made up of two parts and while working with Paloalto on the first part, YunB received the offer to join Hi-Lite Records. This single is his first step as an artist of the label.
With a trendy drum sound on dreamy synthesizer chords, ‘Runaway, Pt. 1’ acts out a peculiar and refreshing atmosphere mixed with YunB’s piano playing (he has played the classic piano for a long time). Similarly, the music video that was filmed both in New York and South Korea is in its nature entirely new to the Korean hiphop scene.
