BANA’s project group XXX, whose latest track is ‘Dead Wrong Remix ft. E SENS‘, has recently released two singles off their upcoming album.

XXX are rapper Ximya and producer FRNK. Ximya made mysterious headlines when he was first noticed as the only featured artist in E Sens’ album ‘The Anecdote’ which received rave reviews from acclaimed music critics. FRNK, the young producer behind XXX, first surfaced from underground via E Sens’ single ‘Sleep Tight’. His latest official remix of f(x)’s ‘4 Walls’ managed to attract more attention from not only the general public but from composers of today’s music industry. Major news media in the hiphop field and subculture magazines have already recognized XXX’s daringly experimental and unique work, regarding them as today’s new artist who will change and innovate hiphop and beat music.

BANA, already known to many for its affiliated artists like rapper E Sens and internationally renowned animator Erik Oh, has been dealing extensively with all forms of individual talent and outside the box artistry.

The track ‘Yves’ is a clever feel-good track with its upbeat synth pop beat and Ximya’s raw and witty rap. His lyrics speak out tasteful confession of his love and affection toward a girl, adding a playful yet whimsical charm to the track. In the mid-part of the track, a heavy bass line comes in shifting the entire rhythm flow; a clever variation approach by FRNK who clearly is not afraid of breaking down boundaries.

The track ‘Lella Yang’ demonstrates Ximya’s straight-up and brutally honest rap, as well as FRNK’s experimental hiphop beat. Their style of music weeds out the already existing standard equation of today’s hiphop model. With its powerful bass line and the incessant transition and variation of the expressive melody lines played with Rhodes electric piano, XXX highlights FRNK’s innovative and creative beats. On top of that, Ximya lyrically conveys his thoughts and views on today’s fashion trend and style with ruthless honesty, emphasizing once again his intense and fierce rap skills.

Both songs display a strong interaction between rap and beat, delivering thrilling tension and witty playfulness to the listeners during the entire running time.

XXX are scheduled to release their first album in early 2016.
