Veteran MC DEAD’P returns with the single ‘Dark Soul’ which is about the zeitgeist.
Now that he has joined W XCLSV, this is DEAD’P’s first single in a long time.
With two full-length albums and a great number of featurings, he sharply criticized social phenomena. His new single ‘Dark Soul’ is an extreme storytelling track full of metaphors that tells of the zeitgeist.
His labelmate and producer Brown Sugar has created a beat with a 90’s flavor, on which DEAD’P raps restraintly in his low but heavy voice. His rap is not straightforward though, so that every time you listen to it you will discover a new detail. Nevertheless, the strong images of the track’s message can be felt clearly.
