South Korea’s most prominent band Glen Check has joined hands with Beasts And Natives Alike (BANA)!
Composed of members June One Kim and Hyuk Jun Kang, Glen Check is positioned as the most notable name in the Korean indie music scene. They debuted in 2011 with the release of their first EP ‘Disco Elevator‘, and have established themselves as Korea’s biggest representative band. Their first EP was followed by the album ‘Haute Couture‘ in 2012 and ‘Youth!‘ in 2013, which went on to win two consecutive Korean Music Awards for ‘Best Dance & Electronic Album’. Since, Glen Check’s fame and fandom have grown exponentially, setting high standards and pride through their live performances, stage designs, remixes and renowned world festival performances.
To commemorate their official signing, BANA released a brand new song called ‘Fakin’, a collaborative track between Glen Check’s June One Kim (vocal & guitar) and XXX’s rapper Kim Ximya.
‘Fakin’ (feat. Kim Ximya)’ is an infectiously uplifting track that cleverly reveals Glen Check’s sense of style and originality. Produced by June One Kim, the track delivers a sensual yet sophisticated feel, bringing his vocals and Kim Ximya’s rap to a whole new level. ‘Fakin’ is already receiving rave reviews from various music websites and social media.
BANA, already known to many for its affiliated artists like rapper E SENS, new artist XXX, DJ 250 and animator Erick Oh, is a sub-culture agency that has been dealing extensively with all forms of individual talent and original artistry. BANA has become one of the most anticipated labels, especially after E SENS’ album ‘The Anecdote’ was crowned ‘Album of the Year’ at the 2016 Korean Music Awards.
Yet to debut, their new artists XXX have already been spotted by internationally renowned labels and media from Europe and the U.S. Their debut album ‘KYOMI’ is scheduled for release this Friday, July 9th.
With Glen Check alongside BANA, an increasing amount of music fans are shifting their interests and curiosities towards other artists affiliated with BANA. Glen Check is looking forward to bring new visions and inspirations through various forms of collaboration with BANA.
According to the agency, Glen Check is currently preparing for their new album, scheduled for this year.
