Paloalto comments on Keith Ape’s going to the US

Read hiphopplaya’s brief interview with Paloalto about Keith Ape.

More than 7 million views on YouTube, updates on him on Complex’ official Facebook site, and more. Keith Ape, the ‘It G Ma’ star, is receiving attention not only in South Korea but also abroad in the US and elsewhere. He is temporarily halting his activities in South Korea and leaving for the US to officially start making music there. In the most unprecedented way, Keith Ape is heading for the US and we wish him all the best for the future.

Keith Ape leaving for the US. The news are a bit sudden.
Paloalto: About two months ago, we at Hi-Lite talked with Keith Ape about it and came to that decision. He prefers to make music in the US.

Does he already have a contract with a local label?
He signed a contract with an American [artist] management company. They will be in charge of his activities in the USA.

Has his contract with Hi-Lite ended?
Effectively, Hi-Lite Records are not in charge of his activities in the US. That is because the American company can do more for Keith Ape. If one day Keith Ape will be active in South Korea once more, we will naturally work together again.

As CEO and fellow musician, what are your thoughts of him leaving for the USA?
I am very proud of him and I support him. I hope he can do what he likes and keeps improving himself over there.

Finally, rumor has it that ASAP Ferg also participated on the ‘It G Ma Remix’, when will it be released?
I cannot say anything about that. You will know when it’s released.
