On February 4, Hi-Lite Records CEO and artist Paloalto wrapped up his “UNITE” North American Tour in Vancouver at Privé Nightclub. Check out our exclusive interview with the artist himself. A special thanks to Astro Vancity and Legend Promotions for inviting me to the show!
Please introduce yourself to your North American fans!
Hello, this is Paloalto of Hi-Lite Records. Thank you to everyone who joined me at my North American tour.
How was your experience in these four cities (San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Vancouver)?
As my first North American solo tour, I was unsure as to how many people would attend my shows. However, I was humbled by the turnout and the amount of positive response I received from all four cities.
The Vancouver show wrapped up the “UNITE” North American Tour. Which city was most memorable?
The first show was held in San Francisco, and I was welcomed by a very passionate crowd. It marked a great start of the tour. In addition, about a thousand people attended my New York show. It was unbelievable.
How did you find the audience in North America compared to those in South Korea?
I didn’t notice a huge difference. Everyone showed love, and responded positively to their favorite tracks.
Can you comment on your biggest North American hip-hop influences?
These days, there’s far too many artists for me to select just one or two. I listen to many different artists of several genres, which makes it difficult for me to answer this question.
Will there be a label-wide North American Tour?
I think there’s value in holding a label-wide North American tour. That being said, as the company representative, I personally believe that sending each artist individually for their tour would be more effective.
Any closing remarks for your North American fans?
Thank you to those who supported me throughout this tour and helped me create great memories. I hope to meet you again next time! Also, sending love to my supporters who were unable to join me in my tour!
